KUMIKO

　It was before colour therapy and the like were widely popularized when I started the job I am doing now.
　I was attracted to the power of colours, and since then, I have been working as a colour therapist and total beauty advisor for a long time.
　At that time, people often asked me, “Is colour therapy about showing and presenting different colours of cloth?”
You can gain a good knowledge of colours if you study. However, awareness and emotions I gained through each and every experience, which were accompanied by my personal growth, became a part of my present ability slowly but steadily.
　I was once lost, tripped over, fell down and was kicked sometimes :), for all of which I am now thankful. For, those made me be aware of my own happiness and encouraged me to stand up.
　You have the power to find your own way and stand up well even if you fall.
　It will be my pleasure if my work can support you to be aware of that.

Until now and the future

　After graduating from my dressmaking course at the Junior College of Sugino Women’s University, I worked as a fashion advisor for many years at an apparel maker, duringwhich I was also learning window-displays and styling on a special course at Bunka Fashion College as well as at a lecturer’s house.
　The sudden bankruptcy of the company provided an opportunity to start the study of colours which I had been interested in. After studying colour psychology, colour therapy and personal colour, I opened a salon. Then, in order to learn about outer beauty, I entered the academy organized by Mr. Chiaki Shimada, a makeup artist, by whom I was taught.
